Frequently Asked Questions

Will we receive a sketch or visual?

Yes! Once a price is agreed upon, we ask for a deposit before any designing is started. You will then receive a visual of the design for you to approve before anything is cut. This is when you will be able to confirm all spelling is correct, and that it looks like what you had in mind!

Do we select from a catalogue of designs or do we send details?

We don’t have a catalogue of limited designs - all our work is custom! You can send us your ideas through photos/images/clipart/sketches, or you can explain to us what you’d like to have incorporated and allow us to design it! You can also be specific about animal breeds, automobile brands, human silhouette characteristics etc. This will help us try to create a more personal design for you!

What’s the difference between “with rims” & “without rims” on the fire pits?

You will notice that most of our fire pits have a “rim” around the top and bottom edge. The difference between these options are cost, personal preference and additional stability. Both options are suitable and long lasting choices for a fire pit, however, with rims is a higher cost option with additional stability.

What is the most popular fire pit size?

Our most popular fire pit size is the 3ft x 14” Octagon with Rims style. Our sizes vary from 2ft to 5ft square, and up to 6ft in the octagon style. Keep in mind that these are interior measurements, therefore the fire pits with the rims are about 4” to 6” larger in size

Do you coat the fire pits with anything?

Our standard fire pits are left on bare metal, however, we do offer coating them with high heat paint at additional costs. Please note that the high heat paint is not guaranteed and may require touch ups or need to be redone over time. The lifespan of the high heat paint will vary depending on how frequent you have fires, how large and hot you build them and the wear and tear from usage (throwing logs/chipping paint/direct flame on paint).

I would like to coat my fire pit with high heat paint myself, what do you recommend?

You can purchase High Heat Enamel paint from most hardware stores (ex. Canadian Tire). If you’ve already been using your fire pit or left it outdoors and rust has started to build on the metal, then you’ll want to wire brush or sand the surface to remove any rust and dirt build up. Then you’ll want to wash the surface with water - you can add soap or a washing agent but just make sure it’s completely rinsed off and let dry. We often suggest putting minimum 2 coats of paint, but you can also read the label on your selected high heat paint can. DO NOT use standard paint and/or primer on your fire pit - it will burn off instantly!

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash or etransfer as payment options

What material is it made of & can they go indoor/outdoor?

Our products are made out of commercial grade mild steel. The home décor pieces are coated with industrial paint and primer and can be placed indoors or outdoors. Our fire pits are left on bare metal unless high heat paint is requested (at additional costs).

Will my item come in a box or package at pick up?

All flat signs will be wrapped in a foam for protection, but not in a cardboard box. Fire pits are not wrapped or packaged in anything.

Can we pick up our purchased item(s) at a market you are attending?

Of course! Just let us know in advance so we can make sure we pack it with us. If there is a limitation such as size that doesn’t allow us to bring it, we will let you know.

Do you have a store we can visit?

Our facility doesn’t have a store front, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to meet with you or show you our products! We are a manufacturing shop, but you can schedule a meeting and we would love to show you some items we have in stock or discuss ideas.

Throughout the year you can find us set up at local markets where we have lots of items on display for purchase or to order! For market details visit our website home page or Facebook page
